By downloading, installing, or using this note-taking application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RideThing ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Local Data Storage
The App employs a local-first approach to data storage. This means that your notes, documents, and other data created within the App ("User Content") are primarily stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your locally stored data unless you explicitly choose to sync or share it through features we may offer You acknowledge that any loss of data due to device malfunction, loss, or damage is not our responsibility. 3. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining and protecting your User Content. We strongly recommend that you regularly back up your data to prevent loss. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or on your device in relation to the App. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 4. Privacy
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, explains our data practices. We do not collect personal information through the App unless you voluntarily provide it or opt into features that require data collection. Any app usage data we collect is anonymous and used solely for the purpose of improving the App's functionality and user experience. 5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by RideThing and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. You retain all rights to the User Content you create using the App. By using the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and copy that User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's services. 6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App:
For any unlawful purpose or to violate any local, state, national, or international law. To infringe on or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others. To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate against others. To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code. To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the App. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not make any warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the App's content. 8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideThing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App. In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any. 9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes through an in-app notification or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should discontinue use of the App. We encourage you to review the Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of the Terms of Use. These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RideThing regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements between you and us relating to the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
